I am currently a postgraduate researcher and PhD candidate at Northumbria University, writing a dissertation on the historical relationship between nonfiction films and commercial entertainment. My other research interests include genre, reception studies, visual studies, and ethnographic film.
From 2015-2016 I was a graduate student instructor at San Francisco State University in the Cinema department, where I devised curriculum and taught classes on film history, writing about film, and exploitation and cult cinemas.
