Erin Wiegand is a postgraduate researcher and freelance editor who divides her time between Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, and Oakland, California. Before moving across the pond to pursue her PhD, she spent ten years acquiring and editing books for the nonprofit press North Atlantic Books. Her writing has appeared in several print and web magazines, including AlterNet, In These Times, and Paracinema, and in several books, the most recent of which is What’s Eating You? Food and Horror on Screen. Originally from Sacramento, California, she earned a BA at the New College of California and an MA in Cinema Studies at San Francisco State University.
