Erin Wiegand is an editor and researcher living in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Currently a postgraduate researcher at Northumbria University, she is also the web editor of the Journal of Cinema and Media Studies Teaching Dossier. In her spare time she can be found at the all-volunteer-run Star & Shadow Cinema, where she is primarily involved with film programming and exhibition. Before moving across the pond to pursue her PhD, she spent ten years acquiring and editing books for the Berkeley-based nonprofit press North Atlantic Books. Her writing has appeared in print and web magazines, academic journals, and several books, the most recent of which is What’s Eating You? Food and Horror on Screen. Originally from Sacramento, California, she earned a BA at the New College of California and an MA in Cinema Studies at San Francisco State University.
